Every 10 years, the central government establishes a new pay commission. The central government makes many changes regarding the employees in every new pay commission. In this regard, it has been 10 years since the 7th Pay Commission came into effect in January 2026. Herein, the employees are highly anticipating the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission as they had celebrated endless talks about the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission. While some big announcement (8th Pay Commission) made by Ministry of Finance was in place, on the other side, employees were made eager for something special by the government in the next year.
LAnnouncement can be made in the Union Budget-
Union Budget announce for Employees has been indicated for the past few days by Minister of State Pankaj Chaudhary, that has made a big announcement in favor of the government. The announcement is to put forward, “Currently, there is no consideration for the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission from the Ministry of Finance”, regarding the 8th Central Pay Commission. Meanwhile, discussions are also being surfaced among employees that the central government may think about the implementation of the new pay commission in the Union Budget of 2025-26 to be presented on February 1, 2025.
The 7th Pay Commission again brought several improvements.
The 7th Pay Commission considered the pay structure and allowances and pension improvement in the implementation phase. In such a scenario, after the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission, positive changes were made to all the employees, including pensioners, of Central Government. It is in such situations that employees create different various demands by taking up the 8th Pay Commission (fitment factor) and waiting for the formation of the 8th Pay Commission.
At this time, the 8th Pay Commission will be implemented-
Every decade, the Central Government forms a new Pay Commission. It collects all types of suggestions concerning salaries, allowances and facilities of the Central Government employees and introduces changes where necessary under it. Keeping in view the inflation rate (Hike in basic salary) and other external factors, the government decides what the guidelines should be. Central Government constituted Seventh Pay Commission on February 28, 2014.
